The core Hermes Agent software is strictly provided under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the conditions outlined in the license file included in the repository.

2. "As Is" Warranty Disclaimer

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages or other liability, whether in an action of contract, tort or otherwise, arising from, out of or in connection with the software or the use or other dealings in the software.

3. Use of External APIs

Hermes Agent is designed to connect to external Large Language Model APIs (e.g., Nous Portal, OpenAI, OpenRouter). By using the application to connect to these services, you agree to comply with the respective Terms of Service of those API providers. You are solely responsible for managing your API keys and the costs associated with your usage.

4. Community Guidelines

When participating in our Discord server, GitHub discussions, or contributing code, you must treat all community members with respect. We reserve the right to ban users from our community spaces or reject PRs if they exhibit abusive or harmful behavior.
